Golden State Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojevic died on Wednesday after suffering a heart attack at dinner in Salt Lake City.

Milojevic, 46, was hospitalized on Tuesday after suffering “a medical emergency at a private team dinner.”
The team said he had a heart attack and passed away Wednesday morning.
Warriors coach Steve Kerr said Dejan Milojevic was an upbeat person who brought joy every day.
The team grieved for Milojevic’s family, his wife Natasa, and their children Masa and Nikola.
The 6-foot-7 Belgrade native was hired in 2021 after having a career in Europe.
He was tasked with working with centers and power forwards of the Warriors.
Milojevic had been praised because of the development of Golden State’s center Kevon Looney.
On a team filled with famous perimeter players like Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, Looney made a significant difference in their 2022 NBA title.
Golden State outscored the Boston Celtics by 48 points when Looney was on the floor that finals series.
The league said Wednesday’s night game against the Jazz will be rescheduled due to Dejan Milojevic’s condition.
Golden State’s next game is Friday against the Dallas Mavericks in San Fransisco.
