However, there has been no official statement of any plans for an indictment.
Donald Trump has been connected to several criminal investigations, with the case related to Daniels being the longest one, reaching back to 2016.
On his platform Truth Social, he said the arrest information and called for protests.
Susan Necheles, Trump’s attorney, explained that those speculations are “based on media reports.”
Besides, she condemned prosecutors for withholding information from her.
She added the District Attorney’s office prefers to leak everything to the press rather than communicating with Trump’s attorney.
Trump also defended himself on Truth Social, saying he has not committed a crime.
Furthermore, he accused the Manhattan District Attorney of being “highly political and corrupt.”
However, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office declined to comment.
If the Trump arrests occur, he will become the first former US president to be indicted.
Despite the confusing situation, a spokesperson for Trump’s campaign Steven Cheung said Trump expects to appear in Texas for a rally.
