Princess of Wales Catherine will spend her time recovering in a hospital for up to two weeks after successfully undergoing abdominal surgery.
In a statement, Kensington Palace said the Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic for planned abdominal surgery.
The operation was successful and she will remain in hospital for 10-14 days.
Kensington Palance added Catherine is unlikely to return to public duties after Easter.
The princess is expected to recover in Windsor once discharged.
Moreover, her return to official duties will depend on her medical condition closer to the time.
The palace also said Catherine wishes that her personal medical information remain private.
Prince of Wales William won’t take official duties while his wife is in hospital.
Prince and Princess of Wales are not expected to travel abroad for the coming months.
Kate doesn’t have any known medical issues as she is known for being healthy and fit.
She just celebrated her 42nd birthday on January 9, a week before she was hospitalized at The London Clinic.
Buckingham Palace also revealed that King Charles will go to hospital next week for an enlarged prostate treatment.
The palace refused to confirm what the Princess of Wales was being treated for but explained that it was non-cancerous.
