During a recent podcast, podcaster Tim Pool asked Steve Bannon, former Donald Trump advisor, about a suggestion that Elon Musk should buy SVB.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!SVB, or Silicon Valley Bank, recently collapsed and became the second-largest bank failure in the United States’ history.
Musk said that he was “open to the idea.”
But Bannon declined the idea and accused Tesla’s CEO of being owned by the CCP (Chinese Communist Party).
Besides, he alleged that Musk refused to reinstate the Twitter accounts of anti-Chinese personalities since taking over the platform.
Bannon added that the “only real value” Musk has is Tesla, but the CCP controls the company’s planned Gigafactory 3 plant in Shanghai.
Elon Musk and Bannon appear to have a mutual dislike despite sharing similar political views.
He continued by saying that the CCP fully controls the Shanghai joint venture.
Therefore, Musk always backs off and never goes after the CCP.
Congressman Matt Gaetz was also present during the podcast; he was shocked at Bannon’s accusation.
He later clipped the segment and shared it on Twitter, tagging Elon Musk and asking for his thoughts.
Musk didn’t hold back; he responded by saying he thought Bannon was smart and evil, but he realized he was wrong about the first part.
