2023 Tesla Model S and X Add Pretty $3000 Red Paint

Tesla offers a $3000 Ultra Red paint option to replace the previous $2000 red paint for its two largest models, Model S and Model X.

However, the $2000 Red Multi-Coat choice is still available on the Tesla Model 3 and the Model Y.

The higher-priced color arrives just days after Tesla cut the Model S and X prices by about $5000 and $10000, respectively.

Besides the new paint, Tesla added a newly designed glass roof that weighs less than the old one.

Minimizing the glass roof’s weight will lower the car’s center of gravity, so it could improve its handling.

Moreover, the glass roof will allow five times more light into the car’s cabin.

But Tesla claims it provides the same amount of UV protection as the previous one.

On the bright side, the new Model S and Model X variant has improved brake pads.

The Austin-based automaker claims the new pads give a higher thermal capacity than the old ones.

According to what we can get from Tesla’s Twitter, the improvement only impacts the brake pads, leaving the standard calipers and rotors unchanged.

However, Tesla hasn’t introduced the track-capable carbon-ceramic brake option the company promised.

Customers can consider buying the new 2023 Tesla since Elon Musk has been giving price cuts since early 2023.
