Palworld Sells Over 1 Million Copies 8 Hours After Launch

Palworld, dubbed ‘Pokemon with guns’, has successfully sold more than one million copies just eight hours after launch.

It also rocketed into Steam’s top-four most-played games list by concurrent players. Furthermore, Palworld had replaced battle royal PUBG in third place with 365,000 players and a very positive rating.

CS2 and Dota 2 are still at the top of the list. But that statistic still puts Palworld ahead of GTA 5, Apex Legends, and Baldur’s Gate 3.

Besides, it’s the top-selling game by revenue at the moment. The affordable price could be one of the high-demand results as it’s only $26 on Steam.

It’s around a third of the price of most AAA releases. Its concurrent player number will be higher, though, as the game is also available on Xbox and Windows PC.

However, the huge influx of players has caused server problems. Pocketpair tweeted that Palworld’s server became unstable and caused connection issues.

Players need to know that the Xbox version lags behind the game’s Steam version regarding its functionality.

Interestingly, now Pokemon fans are expressing their concern due to the similarities between both games.

You can play multiplayer in Palworld by joining your friends in a personal save file (up to four players) or joining a dedicated server (up to 32 players).
