Keanu Reeves wanted all stuntmen of “John Wick: Chapter 4” to remember how many times they died during the making of the action movie.

Hence, he gifted t-shirts that had the number of deaths each person faced to all of the film’s stunt crew.

For some of the crews, that number of deaths was above 20.

One stunt person can get so many death scenes as “John Wick: Chapter 4” re-used stunt actors in multiple scenes.

For instance, during the classic staircase fight, Keanu Reeves fights enemies as he climbs the 222 steps leading to the Sacre-Coeur Basilica.

The movie only used 35 stunt workers who had repeated deaths in the classic scene.

Jeremy Marinas, the fight coordinator, explained the moment director Chad Stahelski told him about the scene.

In general, the scene shows 100 guys falling down the stairs with different reactions and fall.

It wasn’t easy for Keanu Reeves to do shooting upward while stepping.

According to The New York Times, filming the fight scene took seven night shoots. Furthermore, each stunt man probably “died” four or five times.

Besides the t-shirts, Keanu Reeves also give personalized Rolex Submariner watches to his four-man stunt team as a thank-you for their hard work.

The stunt team consists of Bruce Concepcion, Dave Camarillo, Jeremy Marinas, and Li Qiang.
