The F1 World Champion Max Verstappen won the Bahrain Grand Prix, but the race belonged to Fernando Alonso, who got third place.

Alonso’s podium on his Aston Martin debut showed the excitement around the team after a stressful season last year.

This win also indicated Alonso, one of the most talented drivers in Formula 1, bounced back into a competitive position.

Fernando Alonso, the oldest driver on the grid, is so fun to watch when he gets a competitive car.

Furthermore, the Aston Martin seemed like it could be a podium regular this season.

After the race, he said the team was very strong in testing, free practice, and the Bahrain F1 race.

It was a good starting point for Aston Martin, but Alonso thought they needed to give more in the coming months.

Fans were thrilled as Fernando Alonso got a brilliant wheel-to-wheel battle with Lewis Hamilton during the race.

The two drivers, with nine world championships and 135 race victories, presented a clean battle.

They had a thrilling fight in Hungary in 2021 when Fernando Alonso’s defensive skills helped his then-teammate Esteban Ocon win the race.

After taking Hamilton, and Carlos Sainz on lap 45, Alonso kept the podium place until the end of the race.

In the final laps, he radioed his team to say, “what a lovely car to drive.” What a legend!
