After Elon Musk’s acquisition, Twitter is planning to offer verified accounts to people who want to subscribe and pay $19.99 a month.

Moreover, existing verified users will see their coveted blue check marks removed if they don’t start paying within 90 days.

However, Elon Musk Twitter could still change the plan and pricing.

It’s still unclear whether some international organizations and charities have to pay the fee or not.

Before Elon Musk’s arrival, there is an existing paid Twitter feature called “Twitter Blue” that cost $4.99 a month.

But it’s only available in four countries: the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.

Interestingly, the pay-for-verification feature of Elon Musk Twitter would start in those four countries and cost $19.99/month.

Jason Calcanis, Elon Musk’s inner circle, tweeted a pool on Sunday asking how much users would pay to be verified.

A large majority of Twitter users chose the “wouldn’t pay” option.

After all, a blue checkmark is an important status symbol for Twitter users and Elon Musk knows it.

Elon Musk Twitter users can also determine which Twitter accounts are authentic, especially for brands, celebrities, and influencers accounts.

Therefore, it could be hard for users to do that if anyone can pay for a blue checkmark on Elon Musk Twitter.

After firing Twitter’s CEO and applying for verified account membership, what could he do next to rebrand Elon Musk Twitter?
