Notre Dame Football Beats NC State Football 45-24

Notre Dame Football got a big win over NC State Football, 45-24, in NC State’s 2023 home opener at Carter-Finley Stadium on Saturday.

Notre Dame struggled to beat the Pack defense a couple of times, but they were still the better team on Saturday.

However, NC State’s defense showed more aggression and energy on the field, which it lacked against UConn in Week 1.

That aggression allowed the Pack to get punts on Notre Dame Football’s first two drives.

But the third drive still showed some inconsistency in NC State coverage.

The Irish produced a 54-yard field goal after NC State’s coverage led to an offensive penalty.

The NC State’s defense forced a fumble late in the third quarter and put an offense deep in Notre Dame territory.

The team successfully added four sacks in the process.

After the weather delay, Notre Dame’s Audric Estime produced an 80-yard touchdown.

Hence, NC State Football has given up a one-play score for at least 70 yards for the second week in a row.

Moreover, Notre Dame football recorded two passing plays of 45 yards in the second quarter alone.

In general, it was a bizarre afternoon for the Pack during the Notre Dame Football vs. NC State match.
