Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness Separate

Wolverine actor Hugh Jackman and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness have surprisingly announced they are separating after 27 years of marriage.

The couple say in a statement that they have been blessed to share almost 3 decades in a wonderful marriage.

However, their journey has shifted, and decided to separate to pursue their individual growth.

Besides the signed “Deb and Hugh Jackman”, the announcement also said, “This is the statement either of us will make.”

The Aussie pair have been married for 27 years and share two adopted kids, Oscar (23) and Ava (18).

The Jackmans adopted Oscar in 2000 and Ava in 2009.

Ava’s favorite Jackman film is The Greatest Showman in which he plays the co-founder of the Barnum & Bailey Circus.

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness first met in 1995 on the Australian TV series Corelli.

Unlike Deb who was already an established actress, Hugh was a fresh actor out of drama school.

The couple fell for each other fast and married less than a year later.

They wed on April 11, 1996, and became one of Hollywood’s most beloved couples over the years.

On their 27th wedding anniversary, the most recent one, Hugh Jackman posted a loving nod to his wife on Instagram.

Their last public appearance was in July when they attended the men’s finals at Wimbledon.
