The announcement of the Super Mario movie gave mixed feelings since it’s not easy to create a great video game movie adaptation.
Besides, the lack of narrative punch may quickly make people lose interest.
Therefore, the Mario movie seems quite risky.
However, the casts of Chris Pratt and Anya Taylor-Joy somehow successfully convince some fans.
The movie seems to capture the warmth of Mario while keeping the open charm of Super Mario movie being narratively light.
But some fans feel disappointed as its latest trailer didn’t show the existence of Princess Daisy.
Princess Daisy always brought more personality to proceedings but seems to have been shut out of the Super Mario movie.
Furthermore, the movie feels more disappointing when celebrities cast for weaker characters like Toad and Kamek.
The trailer briefly shows the Sand Kingdom with the sand and the pyramids.
It looks like the Sarasaland, though, the kingdom that Princess Daisy rules over.
But Daisy could also act as an extra female character aside from Peach.
We only have a month left until the Super Mario movie drops, so Daisy’s fate looks to be it with no more trailers to come.
Nintendo seems to struggle to understand what to do with Princess Daisy.
